Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Hellwig Front Anti-Sway Bar on a 2019 Fleetwood Bounder. Now, upgrading a front sway bar is gonna make a huge difference every time you drive your vehicle. I've upgraded sway bars on many of my own personal vehicles just to give it a little bit sportier handling. But when it comes to something large like this, that's essentially a large sail going down the highway, you're gonna feel that in the steering wheel. That sway side to side makes a little bit more white knuckle. more

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar on a 2019 Fleetwood Bounder. Now, when choosing any upgrades for your suspension, you really wanna determine what do you need to do with it. If you are truly feeling sway or anytime a gust of wind comes along and you really kinda having to fight to bring it back to center, or if you're just making turns, and it still seems like it's squashed to one side when making another quick turn, that rear anti-sway bar is gonna make a huge difference. Because it's using the weight of the chassis and structurally mounting to the axle, as it flexes to one side, it's gonna fight against it on the other, bringing it back to that center and really flat is good when it comes to handling. That just means that it's gonna be better overall for parking lot driving or small maneuvering, but also out on the highway. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2017 Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome- Video
Hi there motor home owners. Today on your 2017 Fleetwood Bounder, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install a Roadmaster steering stabilizer.And this is what our stabilizer looks like when it's installed. It attaches to your axle on one side and to your tie rod here on the other side. It works with your steering system to act as a dampener. So if you we're to hit any potholes or uneven terrain, it often causes your steering wheel to jerk or jut, shoot to one side. This is going to help dampen and minimize that, so you're not having to work so hard when you hit those things. more

Today on your 2017 Fleetwood Bounder, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's rear anti-sway bar.And this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. It's designed to work in conjunction with your factory sway bar, which is located just on the other side of the axle. We can see that hanging down there at the bottom, except this one here is going to be an even larger and more robust sway bar that's going to further prevent sway. And you can see here how it does this. We're attached to the frame here at the top, on each side, on our hangers that come down and then we're attached to our axle here. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2016 Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Fleetwood Bounder, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Roadmaster Rear Anti Sway Bar, part number RM-1139-149.Now, our Roadmaster Anti Sway Bar is the perfect solution for those drivability issues we experience with our RVs. This creates a connection point from the frame across our axle, back up to our frame. It's going to work in unison side to side, so as we experience the body roll, or the top of our RV tipping one way or another, as it goes to tip one way, that frame's going to come down and it forces down on our end link, which is going to force down on our sway bar. That in turn is going to pull down on that opposite side, it helps to keep everything nice and level.Now, typically body roll is going to come from cornering. It can also come from uneven pavement, cross winds, passing 18 wheelers, or even sometimes blowouts, not as much there though. Having this in place is going to be in addition to the already existing sway bar, you can see we've got one here. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Fleetwood Bounder, we're going to take a look at, and also show you how to install the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar, part number is RM-1139-140.All right, guys, we're going to talk just a little bit about the importance of this sway bar, why it would be important to put on your motor home. When the chassis comes out of the factory, it has a sway bar installed. We'll show you how to remove that in a little while, but it's just a standard sway bar. There's nothing special about it, and that's meant to work for most of the light duty and the medium duty applications that this chassis is going to be asked to do. Once these show up at the facility where they actually are going to make the motor home, they're adding a lot of weight onto that chassis, and it's kind of top heavy. Not all the weight's down on the bottom, so you're having a lot of weight that's up higher, and that creates what's called body roll. more
